Our young core has a chance to develop together and I feel like they're potential ceiling is worth way more than a short rental of an aging veteran. Idk if the numbers support me or not, but I've felt like Gay has been over the hill and kinda washed up for years. Rudy will add some points, but hasn't he been extremely underwhelming since he left Memphis? I could understand it if we were in a championship-or-bust season where we're reaaaally close to being a great team. If this happens, I don't think there's a scenario where we don't give up way too much.
